In the middle of May I was hired by upcoming star of the Slovenian fashion world Nika Torkar. The subject of my photo shoot was her then latest collection entitled “Alekseja” which was made as her final project at the Faculty. The photo shoot was taking place at an airport near Novo Mesto where we were able to take some dramatic shots with the help of a local pilot and his ultralight airplane.

A week ago, I found some time to go to the photo studio and ask them to develop three films for me. The pictures on the films were shot in November on a trip to Spain and Portugal. For a change, there will be more photos than usually, because we have seen a number of different places.
First, we flew to Barcelona, where we had stayed for a couple of days enjoying the warm weather and a “tourist-free” city, since it was November.
(I would advise you to click on the picture to get into lightbox view)

Over the weekend, we changed the location to make a yearly trip to the city of my Erasmus experience – Porto – where we drank tea at the coolest bar while watching the sun set over the the majestic Atlantic ocean.

When we returned to Barcelona, we dedicated our time to the eccentric artist Salvador Dali. Thus, we first took a train from Barcelona to Figueres (where we visited his “theatre”) and then a bus from there to the town where he had lived for most of his life – Port Lligat (which I must say is one of the most beautiful small towns I have had a chance to see).

These are two photos taken with old cameras. The clear and sharp photo was taken with Mamiya RB67 and the second one was shot using the Praktica L camera and a really old film.

From 1-3 June a traditional rock festival was held at Otočec near Novo Mesto called Rock Otočec. This year, the old school rockers Guano Apes appeared as one of the headliners, and I must say that they still know how to make people jump around carelessly and forget about the constant downpour.
